Energy is Access. Access is Opportunity.

GQS helps institutions and energy companies translate complex energy transition priorities into clear strategy, workforce readiness, and community implementation — without needing an in-house expert to get there.

INTRODUCTION

Green Quotient Solutions (GQS) is a certified MWBE energy transition consultancy serving institutions and energy companies across the New York City metropolitan area and beyond.

The energy transition is moving faster than most organizations can keep pace with.

Municipalities, state agencies, nonprofits, school districts, and workforce organizations are expected to respond to new mandates, funding opportunities, and workforce demands — often without dedicated energy expertise in-house to do so. At the same time, energy companies and project developers face growing pressure to engage communities meaningfully and navigate disclosure obligations responsibly.

GQS works across both sides of that equation — helping institutions build the strategy and capacity to move forward, and helping energy companies show up to community processes prepared and accountable.

WHO WE ARE

GQS was built on a simple conviction: the energy transition only succeeds if the people and institutions most affected by it are equipped to participate in it.

That belief shapes how we work, who we work with, and what we consider a successful engagement. We don’t measure success by what gets handed over at the end of an engagement. We measure it by whether the organization on the other side of the table walks away with the clarity, confidence, and capacity to act.

GQS sits at an uncommon intersection: technical energy expertise grounded in institutional research experience, and a genuine commitment to workforce development and community implementation. Most firms operate on one side of that line. We were built to work across it.

The communities most affected by the energy transition are too often the last ones in the room when decisions get made.

That’s what GQS was built to change.

If you're advancing climate, infrastructure, or workforce priorities without a dedicated energy team behind you — you're exactly who we built this for.

Who We Serve

Green Quotient Solutions partners with institutions shaping how communities prepare for the evolving energy economy and workforce.

We frequently collaborate across sectors to support coordinated community impact.

You’re operating in a sector under simultaneous pressure from regulators, communities, and the workforce pipeline — and nowhere is that pressure more visible than in how you handle community engagement. Handled poorly, it’s a liability. Handled well, it’s a competitive advantage.

We work with energy developers, utilities, and infrastructure companies that need more than compliance. They need strategy.

We support energy sector partners through:

  • End-to-end community disclosure support — from pre-disclosure preparation and stakeholder engagement strategy to post-disclosure intelligence that turns community input into actionable insight
  • Workforce partnership strategies with universities, school districts, and training providers
  • Education and workforce program partnerships that build future talent pipelines
  • Advisory support for initiatives tied to community investment, workforce grants, or public partnerships

Our job is to help you align business goals with community impact — and show up to community processes prepared, not just compliant.

Not sure where to start?

The Community Disclosure Intelligence service was built specifically for energy companies navigating public engagement obligations.

The energy transition is landing on your desk whether you planned for it or not. New mandates, funding opportunities, community expectations, and workforce pressures are arriving simultaneously — and your team is expected to respond with coordinated strategy, often without dedicated energy expertise in-house to draw on.

We support public sector leaders who need to move from obligation to action without losing momentum, budget, or stakeholder alignment along the way.

We assist government partners with:

  • Climate action planning and GHG inventory support
  • Energy policy interpretation and implementation strategy
  • Sustainability program design and facilitation
  • Cross-sector coordination between government, industry, and educational institutions
  • Strategic planning for energy transition and workforce capacity building
  • Stakeholder alignment and team readiness

Our goal is to help governments move from policy commitment to durable community implementation.

Ready to move from mandate to action?

Energy Transition Strategy & Policy Advisory is where most government engagements begin.

Your students are entering a job market being reshaped by the energy transition. Awareness is a start — but what they really need are pathways, vocabulary, and real exposure to an economy and world changing faster than most curricula can keep up with.

At the same time, your institution is navigating its own sustainability expectations, policy requirements, and program relevance pressures.

We help education leaders on both sides of the equation prepare their students for what’s ahead while helping institutions align with where the sector is going.

Our work with educational institutions includes:

  • Sustainability and energy literacy programming for students at every level
  • Workforce pathway strategy aligned with emerging energy careers
  • Industry partnership development with energy and infrastructure employers
  • Advisory support for new programs, certificates, or CTE initiatives
  • Hands-on workshop design and facilitation

Our goal is to help institutions equip students with the knowledge and pathways needed to succeed in the evolving energy economy.

You sit at the intersection of economic development, education, and community support — which means you’re coordinating across employers, training providers, government programs, and the people those systems were built to serve. That’s complex work, and the energy transition is adding new urgency and new opportunity to all of it.

We support workforce and community organizations committed to building programs that connect people to careers — not just training completions.

We assist partners with:

  • Workforce program design and facilitation tied to energy and infrastructure sectors
  • Strategic alignment between training programs and employer demand
  • Partnership development with schools, employers, and public agencies
  • Research and analysis to inform program development and grant applications
  • Community engagement strategies supporting inclusive workforce participation

Our role is to help organizations turn workforce ambitions into structured, future-aligned programs that deliver real outcomes.

Designing or expanding a workforce program?

Education & Workforce Development Workshops and Program Design & Capacity Building are the most common starting points.

You know your mission connects to the energy transition, community resilience, economic opportunity, and the people most affected by a changing climate. What you may not have is the technical language, the sector expertise, or the strategic framework to act on that connection with confidence.

We work with foundations, nonprofits, and public-serving organizations doing meaningful work at the intersection of energy, community, and equity — and who need a thought partner who understands all three.

We provide support through:

  • Strategic advisory services related to energy transition, workforce, and community initiatives
  • Program design and ecosystem mapping
  • Cross-sector partnership facilitation
  • Research and intelligence on energy and workforce trends
  • Support for initiatives focused on community resilience and economic mobility

Our work helps mission-driven organizations connect their goals with strategies that deliver measurable impact in the communities they serve.

Our Mission

“GQ” stands for Green Quotient — and just as you can take deliberate steps to raise your IQ, working with GQS is designed to raise your organization’s green quotient.

That means more than completing a project. It means your team understands the landscape better, your institution is more prepared for what’s coming, and your capacity to act on clean energy priorities grows with every engagement — not just during it.

That philosophy is built into everything we do. Whether the work is a research brief, a workforce program, or a multi-month advisory engagement, we measure success by what your organization is able to do on the other side of it.

Why Green Quotient Solutions?

GQS is built for institutions doing essential work with limited resources.

  • Most consultants bring technical expertise or community focus. GQS brings both — because the energy transition requires both to work
  • We treat workforce development and energy transition strategy as one conversation, not two separate workstreams
  • We approach every engagement with an educator’s instinct — building your team’s understanding alongside the deliverable, so the capacity stays with you after the engagement ends
  • We approach community engagement as strategy, not compliance
  • As a certified MWBE/SBE, we bring cultural fluency and a genuine equity lens to every engagement — not as a credential but as the foundation this firm was built on

When you work with GQS, you gain more than a deliverable — you gain clarity, alignment, and the confidence to lead.
